I’m hearing questions about pools – must be that time of year!
There’s debate about whether a pool adds value or not, the answer is generally a pool does add value – but – it may not add the full value that it costs you to put in – so a house with a pool may sell for an extra $30,000 on average in your area (for example) but may cost you $50,000 to put the pool in yourself. Or it could be the full value! It all comes back to valuation and what other properties in your area (with pools) have sold for.
If you want to finance the cost of a pool the only way to find out is get the quote and plans and get a valuation done – most lenders allow us to get a valuation done upfront for you & we know what we’re working with.
At the end of the day I’m sure the pool will add value for you – nothing beats it, even if it’s just relaxing beside it and soaking up the sun!
